I’m Mia

Owner and floral Designer

Root Floral Design was founded in 2012 by owner/designer, Mia Sandberg. Her education and background in Interior Design, combined with her passion for floristry, manifested into a unique style and approach to Floral Design. What started off as a tiny flower shop quickly expanded into a full fledged wedding, event and everyday floral studio.

Root’s current location serves as a design workspace and storefront offering curated goods. Our amazing, passionate team has grown to include Amelia Biere, Jacie Lopez, and Anica Hamilton. Approaching every design with intention is top priority for each and every one of our clients.

The CAROLINE COLLECTION

She’s bright, fun and full of color! Not much else to say other than she’s one of our favorites. The flowers consist of roses, snapdragons, delphinium, carnations, ranunculus, scabiosa, chamomile and irises.

The HAZEL COLLECTION

Hazel is the perfect color palette for Spring, Summer or Fall. She was inspired by one of our dearest friend’s wedding palette. The flowers consist of roses, snapdragons, carnations, ranunculus, tulips, Queen Anne’s lace, acacia foliage and eucalyptus.

The VERA COLLECTION

Vera is for the sophisticated bride who wants to make a statement on her wedding day. The flowers consist of garden roses, roses, spray roses, snapdragons, lisianthus, bunny tails, tulips, carnations, ranunculus and antique gold plumosa fern.
